Three of the 6 packet BBS’s (sometimes called RF Servers) are in the process of upgrading.

Both W1EDH-4 in Glastonbury and N1URO-4 in Unionville are running new software which we have found will not accept NTS messages and bulletins originated using most common used email software.

For folks in both ARES Region 3 and 4, if you connect to the W1EDH node, then connect to K1YON-4, that board will accept your NTS Messages and Bulletins.
N1URO is working with the writer of this software to get this problem cured. We will advise folks when this problem has been rectified.

In ARES Region 2, W1WCG-4 is running a BPQ BBS. That BBS program also has been found to have a “hiccup” in it. It does not like NTS messages that are uploaded as a file to it.

For folks in Region 2, you can connect to W1HAD-4 in Shelton and that will accept both your Bulletins and NTS Message.

For stations in Region 2 that can not connect to W1HAD-4 direct, connect to W1WCG-2.
Once connected there, type:
C 1 W1HAD-4.
