Let's face it, I LOVE going to Hamfests:
- You meet the nicest people, ask questions, and find some really "neato" STUFF at reasonable prices.
- If you Car Pool, then it becomes a really fun shared experience

The Dayton Hamfest (MAY) is the ULTIMATE HAMFEST Experience. However, there are logistics involved that put it beyond the range of many Hams in CT (Time, Cost, the XYL).

But, for Day Trips (or maybe an overnighter) here is my list of the LARGER HAMFESTS worth driving to:

APRIL: NEAR-Fest (Deerfield,NH)

JULY: Sussex County Hamfest (Augusta,NJ)

SEPT: Boxboro Hamfest (Boxboro, MA)

OCT.: NEAR-Fest (Deerfield,NH)

OCT.: Nutmeg Hamfest (Meriden, CT)

SMALLER HAMFESTS in the area include:

March: Springfield (MA). (3/11/17)

March: Eastern CT Hamfest
*http://www.ecara.net/*

March: Southington Flea Market and ARES Meeting
*http://www.chetbacon.com/sara.htm*

August: Newtown
*http://cararadioclub.org/*

April: RASCON Auction (Gales Ferry, CT)

Helpful Hint:
Make a Shopping List before going... and BRING IT.
That will turn the Trip into a MISSION.
