Listen to the Call-Up instructions of the Net Control Station (NCS) at the beginning of the Net.
Typically, Check-Ins will be requested in some sort of Call-Up sequence (e.g.: by Zone).

Check-In during the Call Up Window for your category. (e.g.: Central 1).

If you miss your Call Up Window... PLEASE WAIT!
At the end of the full sequence Call Up, the Net Control Station will ask for “additional stations” wishing to Check-In BEFORE moving on to the business of the Net (taking Message Traffic, Announcements, Etc.).
- When this happens, please be sure to include the Call-Up category information (e.g.: “Zone Central 1”)

When Checking-In after your Call Up Window has passed by...
please DO NOT SAY, “Late Check-In”.

The phrase “Late Check-In” is reserved for use until AFTER the NET SHUTS DOWN and you are hoping to get your call-sign added to the Log before the NCS plugs the plug.
