Field trip to Orange 4/18/13
Class instructor Ed Rhodes -WA1LEI (lower right) explains HF radio communication techniques to class members as he makes contact on 20m phone with a station in England (45 miles South of London).

Class members got practical experience in setting up and taking down the antennas and run coax:
- G5RV HF dipole as an inverted "V".
- Dual band VHF/UHF 6' vertical antenna mounted on an extendable flag pole, attached to a tripod base.



Not shown is the VHF/UHF station where each class member had the opportunity to Get On The Air and speak with Rob - KB1TTN located in Branford, CT.
