Congratulations on making the decision to become a member of ARES, where you become a part of a Federal and State recognized Voluntary Organization Active in Disaster (VOAD) that provides Public Service / Auxiliary Communications support for Connecticut communities in times of need.

HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO FIRST...
- It is as Easy as: 1 - 2 - 3.

Step 1:
Register at the CT ARES website
to get you on the statewide ARES roster.
secure1.ema.arrl.org/qilan/ares/CT/CT_ARES_about

Step 2:
If you DO NOT reside in Region 2, SKIP to STEP 3.

If you live in Region 2, Register at this website
ctaresregion2.org/registration/registers

Because our databases do not talk to each other, if you live in one of the 30 towns listed below* within Region 2, please also register on this Region 2 website.
This will give you full access to the website and enable you to receive Region 2 "Weekly News" and "Alert" emails.

Step 3:
Get "CORE 4" Certified.

If not already done, complete the FREE on-line "CORE 4" FEMA Independent Study courses
IS 100.b, IS 200.b, IS 700.a, IS 800.b
