Hi Everybody,
Well with mucky weather greeting us Saturday morning, we made the decision to set up a tent to promote Amateur Radio at the annual Fair on the Green in Milford.
Weather Radar showing improving conditions from the South, but it took a while to get here. While the sky began to brighten at 11 am, it was not until 1 pm that we saw blue sky and people started arriving at the Green.
Lessons Learned:
1) Only 3 people working the tent at any given time.
Any more than 3 just clogs up the front of the tent and prevents prospects from walking in, which defeats the purpose of the Tent.
2) Let ARES TEAM members, who are not working the event, know that while they are welcome walk by and wave to those who are, hanging out at the tent defeats the mission.

3) Reposition the operating table 90 degrees to the open side of the Tent in order to make the radios more accessible.
4) Install a fan to cool my Icom 706 Mk II G.
5) Change the depth of the brochure bins so that brochures are visible.
6) Need to establish a pitch/sign to get folks to create NTS traffic.
