CHECK-IN: CT ARES – Region 2 Readiness Net (aka the “Ready Net”) You need to be here! Book a standing appointment for the weekly, Monday Night, “Ready Net” in your new 2016 calendar. When you Check-In here, it does 3 key things: 1) It performs a weekly function check of your radio equipment. 2) It keeps you in practice for participating in a “Formal Net”. 3) It keeps you informed of new changes and happenings. GO OUT! Do 3 Public Service Events (or more) each year. Public Service Events (PSEs) offer a low stress opportunity to: - Practice your ARES skills, - Check how well your equipment works in the field, and - Discover opportunities for being better organized. Opportunities exist in Region 2, other CT Regions, and nearby States. - Yes, Travel does indeed broaden ones perspective.
